The box is excellent quality with rubberized plastic that does not scratch or chip with any kind of foul treatment (which is likely with preschoolers). Secondly the design is great for customizing - outside and in- so that it fits your needs best. The handle can be removed and placed anywhere allowing the box to stay horizontal or vertical. Either broad side can be removed and make wonderful seals when in place. The inside is what really sells it for me. I am an avid fan of bento-style lunches and this box is perfect. Inside are individually sealed containers (comes with two small round and one large square). These containers are not fixed so they can be removed and used, or left out, depending on what you want to put inside the box. Another bonus is the other available containers from the manufacturer, which come in various sizes, allowing even more options in what you can pack in this box.
The only complaint I have (there is always something) is that the "interchangeable sides"- in this case the single horse and the print opposite side- are only paper inserts. I have a plan to laminate the paper inserts, hoping it will lengthen their lifespan.
Overall I am more than happy with this box, as is my little girl whose first words in seeing it were, "WOW! Thank you Mommy! It's beautiful!"
