I ordered 2 packages of these to use as birthday cupcake toppers for my kids (twins) 11th birthday. Their birthday is just a few days before Valentines Day, and when I was out I found some beautiful colored cupcakes in a bakery that were a typical average size. I liked the colors so much I purchased them and pulled the plastic heart shaped Happy Valentines Day rings off the tops of them and replaced it with these Happy Birthday toppers. The plastic topper colors are nice and they stay in the icing well. The primary colors are also gender neutral, which was great because my twins are one boy and one girl, so I needed something that would work for both. My only complaint would be that they are kind of small, even for a medium sized cupcake. So if you have very large cupcakes, these are going to look a bit small. But for small and medium sized cupcakes, they should be adequate.
