The artwork is crudely drawn, but if you are not too close it is cute and colorful. I bought the pot holder and the towel to give as a gift, and when my college age daughter saw them she asked if I could buy her a set too, in spite of the fact that she usually hates pink. The quality of the materials appeared comparable to the items I usually buy at a discount store--not exceptional, but acceptable. I do not know how durable they will be because I gave them away.
